Who are we?
ABATO Motors is a dynamic and rapidly growing company operating in the market of emergency power units, marine generators and marine engines. There are 25 FTE working at ABATO. We also have a 24/7 breakdown service. As an importer of Moteurs Baudouin, we are known for a very strong price/quality ratio with our products.
Who are you?
You are a motivated enthusiastic engineering student who can work independently and flexibly within a team. In addition, you are communicative, reliable, work accurately and have a healthy amount of perseverance.
What does an internship at ABATO Motors look like?
During your internship or graduate program, you will be supervised by someone with extensive knowledge of your field of study. We require dedication and commitment, and we in turn make sure you learn many different things. Moreover, there are almost always multiple interns and generally all internships are completed very positively.
Technical trainees work partly in the workshop where the sets are built. They also go with the customer quite early on, for example, for maintenance or in case of a breakdown. Independent problem solving is also a skill you will develop at ABATO Motors. You will also be given space to work on your own engineering assignment. If, as a graduate student, you prefer to work almost exclusively on an assignment, this is also possible!
Naturally, interns are also given room to flesh out their own internship. In the case of an internship assignment, ABATO Engines usually formulates it in consultation with the student, taking into account the competencies to be developed. If an initiative leads to an internal improvement or increase in customer satisfaction, that is of course a great thing.
In addition, seeking contact with the outside world is encouraged and independence is valued in this regard. This could include finding a supplier or potential customer or solving a problem.
