ABATO Motoren has performed maintenance on a Baudouin 8M126 SR marine engine. This engine has made 30.000 operating hours without overhaul. The owner recently bought the ship and is going to modernize the house and the engine room and also wanted to have the engine overhauled. An inspection has been carried out and a number of minor leaks have been fixed. In addition, the valves have been adjusted and a SCOPE inspection has been carried out in which no details came to light. Furthermore, the injectors of the engine have been overhauled by mounting new injector tips and putting them on injection pressure. Finally, the mechanic gave the engine a test run under load to check that everything was working properly. The engine therefore did not have to be completely overhauled and was delivered in a reliable condition.
