ABATO Motoren started offering diesel engines in 2006. In the beginning, marine engines were supplied, later emergency power generators were also supplied. Initially the focus was on engines for pleasure yachts, classic ships of the brown fleet and tractors. From 2007, emergency power generators have also been included in the range on the advice of Weichai. In the first two years almost exclusively for the agricultural market. Organization
ABATO Motoren produces and sells generator sets and related equipment and also supplies separate diesel engines for aggregates, pumps and tractors and supplies separate generators and generator controls. You can go for all types of industrial engines, emergency power generators or marine engines from 20 to 9000 kW.
The employees of our breakdown service are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The ABATO service technicians are VCA-VOL qualified and Stipel certified Skilled Person low voltage in accordance with NEN-3140. In addition, they have completed multi-day product training courses regarding engine and diesel technology, controls and electrical switchgear. An extensive parts warehouse helps to ensure that work can be carried out quickly and efficiently on location.

ABATO Motoren is official dealer of the Moteurs Baudouin & Weichai brands. In addition to aggregates and engines based on Weichai and Moteurs Baudouin engines, ABATO Motoren also supplies engines and generator sets from other manufacturers. Weichai . takeover
In January 2009 Baudouin was bought by Weichai Power. The two shared many different qualities, including a history and a wealth of experience making both marine engines and power generation engines. Baudouin was an attractive prospect for Weichai for many reasons. With his French heritage and years of expertise, Baudouin would open trade with the lucrative western market. In addition, Baudouin the opportunity to acquire knowledge about the technical design and manufacture of European products. Both would prove invaluable to Weichai. With the deal signed by Weichai Chairman Mr. Tan Xuguang, the new Baudouin-Weichai partnership began. After the acquisition, Weichai began a program of steady investments. In the first year of the new owner, a research and development center was opened at the Baudouin headquarters in Cassis. This is where the next generation of engines began to take shape. Weichai has also made other positive changes, such as increasing the scale of production and boosting the workforce in France. The network of agents used to distribute Baudouin's engines has also been revised, allowing for greater efficiency in the sale of finished products, spare parts and after-sales services.
